For years before Pure Prairie was even a thought, I was deep in books and research. Dandelion was a topic that was brought up often. Seeing alot of benefits from this 'weed' that has helped so many over the years was more than just that. 

When I opened Pure Prairie, one of the things I was most excited about was finally being able to stock quality dandelion products. Not just talk about the benefits.

There's something deeply poetic about a flower that most people spend their weekends trying to kill being one of the most powerful healing herbs on the planet. That irony is not lost on me. So today, on National Dandelion Day, let's really dig into it, where it came from, what it does for your body, how you can use it, and why it has earned a permanent place here at Pure Prairie.

The dandelion — Taraxacum officinale — has been used in traditional medicine for over 2,000 years. Ancient Chinese healers were documenting its use as far back as 659 AD.
